Ethical fashion: Moonbird sleepwear
Ethical Fashion: Where do your clothes come from?
Have you ever wondered what goes into making the clothes you are wearing or keen to know more about brands that are making an effort to be more environmentally friendly?
Team WYLD has been wondering and we would like to introduce you to a brand we’ve discovered that is known for using organic cottons, environmentally friendly dyes and Fair Trade, it’s a pleasure to share with you, Moonbird.
Clara Pant Set and Koi Karma Pant Set
Moonbird is a new range of boutique women’s and men’s sleepwear for the conscious consumer.
Their design studio is based in Australia on Sydney’s Northern beaches while the pyjamas are screen-printed by hand, using traditional techniques by a Fair Trade certified producer in Jaipur, India.
So what makes it so uniquely different and ethical?
Made using GOTS certified organic cotton with sateen finish making it soft to touch against the skin. You will find the cotton breathes well while you sleep. Print motifs such as a Sylvie Flower, Sea Leaf, Koi Karma and Desert Sun flow in both directions using AZO free dyes. Recognised by the Ethical Fashion Forum in the UK as a Fellowship 500 member and endorsed as a Fair Trader of Australia by the Fair Trade Association Australia & New Zealand.
Rachel Pines, Founder says:
“I truly believe fashion should be fun, beautiful and ethical. I don’t think you should have to choose between these things; you should be able to have it all. But I couldn’t find it, so Moonbird was born!”
And this why we love this brand – we totally resonate – Fashion should definitely be fun and we hope you enjoy exploring this new collection with us. It is our first Online Pop-Up Brand and will be available for purchase on theWYLDshop.com until the end of July.
