A favourite working spot of the WYLD team, Dutch Colony Coffee doesn’t disappoint with their own blend of coffee beans. Being a bit of a tea addict, a personal favourite of mine is their flavourful and rich chai tea latte. The outlet at Frankel Avenue has both an outdoor and indoor area with a little glass house corner for those who like to bask in the warm sun. Besides their amazing coffee, they also have a brunch menu as well as cakes and pastries. With free Wi-Fi and available plug sockets, this hipster café has 4 outlets all over Singapore for those looking for a quiet spot.

Having started in Melbourne, Toby’s Estate ventured into Singapore and opened their first outlet outside of Australia. With a rich history starting from coffee plantations and growing and processing his own coffee dating back to 1998, Toby’s Estate is the spot for coffee lovers. Their highly raved coffee is prepared by world ranked baristas using coffee beans form all around the world. The interior includes a modern industrial décor with soft lighting and a relaxed atmosphere, perfect for busy workers.

Tucked away in the residential estates of Serangoon Gardens, away from the hustle and bustle, resides The Coffee Daily. This quirky café has a vintage interior with concrete flooring and industrial warm lights for that cosy feel. On top of coffee, they also offer brunch, waffles and ice cream and their oh so famous rainbow cake. With all the essentials of a conducive working environment (including sockets and wifi), I personally enjoy having a productive day working at The Coffee Daily and then heading down after to a nearby bar to let loose with a couple of mates.

What better place to work at than a café meets library haven. With shelves of reading materials ranging from fiction books to magazines, The Book Café is the ultimate working space. Their relaxed and cosy atmosphere is ideal to curl in one of their lush sofas and spend the day buried in a book (or a laptop). They even provide a photocopy machine for those busy bees! Something to look forward to is their all-day breakfast menu. Waffles and pancakes all day? Sign me up!

Tucked away in the quirky streets of Telok Ayer, Sarnies is described to emanate an Australian café vibe. Decorated with rustic wooden furniture, the café has a relaxed and chilled atmosphere. Sarnies has an extensive menu for breakfast, lunch, and dinner but they are especially famous for their sandwiches and coffee. Even though it can be a bit on the pricey side, their food is made with quality, fresh ingredients. It can get a little packed when the office crowd comes in for lunch, so head in earlier to get some quiet time (they open at 8.30am).
