The Wyld Shop edit: homewares that make our heart skip a beat
Is it just us, or have you been more house proud lately too? It wasn’t unusual as a result of all the lockdowns to feel the need to transform our homes into our personal sanctuaries, but as life turns back to ‘normal’, we haven’t shaken our love of creating beautiful spaces that help us feel great at home. But we don’t just want to spruce up our space, we want swoon-worthy decor and unique pieces you won’t find everywhere – and that’s exactly how we curate homewares at The WYLD Shop.
We’ve already shared with you how we use the power of scent and home fragrances to create a mood at home – now we’re letting you in on the homewares and decor we’ve sourced to set the scene for our little haven of a boutique. We hope you love these goodies as much as we do…
A bathroom to bliss out in
Part of adulting is graduating from plain and practical bath towels to indulging in some epic style. And that’s when we knew we had to bring the amazing Aussie brand Sage and Clare to Singapore. The home textiles brand is beloved for its fun patterns, oversized bath sheets in cool colour combos and its famous ‘Nudie Rudie’ bath mat, which continues to turn up all over Pinterest and across interior decor IG feeds. Here’s just a glimpse of how you can transform your bathroom with a fun and colourful piece:
Decor to die for
We love styling little scenes around The WYLD Shop – just like we do at home – so it’s no surprise that several pieces by local brand stillgoods have made it into the personal collections of the WYLD crew.
The carved marble and onyx vessels, bowls and oil burners are truly unique thanks to the natural patterns and grains of the stones used. We think the onyx oil burners, $55, look even more amazing with the glow of a candle within – perfect for blissing out over some aromatherapy as part of a daily self-care ritual.
Another essential is the marble Harmony tray, $89, (pictured at the top of this article) which we’ve found perfect for displaying our collection of candles. More on that in a moment…
When candles become art
Another homegrown brand, Mira, first caught our eye thanks to its beautiful artisanal soaps, but the brand has evolved to include beautiful kaftans for elevated loungewear, and its stunning candles, which are made from soy wax in small batches. We think they’re so sculptural and interesting to look at that we almost can’t bring ourselves to burn them…
A kitchen with a killer sense of humour
Confession time: our favourite thing in the kitchen is an oven mitt that says B*tch, I AM the secret ingredient. We’re yet to come across someone who doesn’t break out into a belly laugh over the Blu Q collection of cheeky oven mitts and tea towels. Plus, we think they make for pretty cool housewarming gifts…
Dinner-party-ready accessories
But, we have a mature side too, you know. We live for feasts with friends with all the trimmings, which means going all out with our gorgeous linen napkins by Sage and Clare.
And yes, Sage and Clare has some pretty spiffy oven mitts too:
And finally, a little bit of magic
If you’ve been with us on our blog for a while, or have hung out with us in our Joo Chiat boutique, you’ll already know we have a thing for crystals. Whether you believe in their energetic and healing properties or not, it’s hard to deny that gemstones look darn pretty, and we love displaying these natural treasures around the home. Intrigued? Check out our Crystals 101 article to see how gemstones can be used beyond decor.
Inspired to give your space a little extra love with some special new pieces? We feel you. Come by our Joo Chiat boutique for some styling advice and to pick out a piece in person – or shop with us any time online. We’re here for you, fellow homewares lovers!
