Our First Ever Fashion Show!
Happy hump day, readers! Cicily here, WYLD’s newest intern, with a short note on our fabulous fashion show that took place at F. Club (Singapore) during the F1 week. Before I go into details, I want to tell you a little about myself. I’m a student studying at Raffles Design Institute and currently interning with theWYLDshop.com a Destination for Australian High Street Fashion based in Singapore.
I was lucky enough to be part of theWYLDshop’s FIRST Fashion Show. The show exuded a YOUNG, WILD & FREE vibe that made it different from your average fashion show.
Gorgeous models from Asia and Australia walked the runway and we were thrilled to have celebs like Liv Lo and Nellie Lim and socialites Barbara & Tamy Vo from Kala Club strut their stuff. All of our girls were superstars!
“Live WYLD Live free, be who you wanna be” is the company’s motto. They believe any girl can be a WYLD ONE as everyone is unique in their own way. We sure did see this come to life as our girls didn’t simply walk the catwalk -they strutted, danced, and posed throughout the stage as if they were dancing in front of their mirrors at home, having the time of their lives!
I got to work closely with WYLD’s creative designer Loo Loo on styling the show. Our collection was inspired by modern fashionistas who love to have fun and who aren’t afraid to show their wild side. The styling had an eclectic feel to it, mixing and matching pieces to demonstrate exciting and unique, yet wearable outfits.
Not forgetting the superb hair and makeup! I thought the Blow+Bar team did an extraordinary job of turning our vision into reality. Now I totally wanna learn how to do the teased braided mohawks, so I can wear my hair like that whenever I want to.
As a multi-label retailer, we showcased a variety of styles & accessories of our latest collection from our brands Paint it Red, Staple the Label, Le Specs & 8 Other Reasons. The audience also got to see an exclusive sneak-peak of our upcoming MINKPINK Swimwear Collection launching in Mid-October!
